When he was just 15, Sajid Khan Nasiri fled the Taliban in Afghanistan and eventually sought asylum in Belgium. His journey through all manner of dangers was depicted in the documentary Shadow Game (Grand Prix, International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights 2021). Having reached Europe, a whole new battle begins. However, this time, it’s a psychological one. This intimate documentary, partly filmed by Sajid himself, reveals the emotional challenges faced by unaccompanied minor refugees.
