Justices

Clément Papachristou

FR - ST EN / 90'

Through a playful and imaginative reworking of The Divine Comedy, Justices follows Vincent, an artist with Down syndrome, on an existential journey through the circles of a pop and graphic-inspired hell. Around ten scenes—each a vibrant, ultracolorful universe within a vast white box—unfold on a stage constantly reinvented by the performers. Instead of dark realism, the piece offers an explosion of styles and atmospheres, where cabaret, French song, and interactive performance intertwine. On this initiatory journey, Vincent faces figures of oppression inspired by the real world: arbitrary prohibitions, dominant perceptions, institutionalized ableism. Justices delights in challenging and shifting boundaries and norms.
