An Insignificant Man

Khushboo Ranka, Vinay Shukla

CA • 2016 • 96’ • VO/OV st Fr/En

Democracy is astonishing. In India, the party of Nehru and Gandhi (Congress) has reigned since the independence (1947). When a simple citizen stood up to corruption in the regional elections in Delhi, people thought he was Don Quixote. Followed by the cameras over the course of several years, the rise of Arvind Kejriwal and his new party (AAP) to the mayorship gives us a behind-the-scenes view of power. Can a man who claims to make his insignificance a virtue topple the dominant system?
