A Revolution in Four Seasons

Jessie Deeter

CA • 2016 • 88’ • VO/OV st Fr/En

“Bringing down a dictator is the easy part”. Other seasons follow the spring. Those seasons are the focus, through the stories of two women of the Tunisian revolution: journalist Emna Ben Jemaa and Jawhara Ettis, an activist for the Islamist party Ennahdha. The religious divide between these two women illustrates the political tensions in the country: one dreams of a Tunisia that resembles France or Sweden, the other wants it to be like Turkey.
