When Israeli student Teddy Katz scrupulously documented a massacre of Palestinian civilians linked to Israel’s independence, he was acclaimed for his groundbreaking work. But he was soon dispossessed of his qualifications and publicly discredited. Decades later, new evidence corroborating his initial conclusions has come to light, not only redeeming him but raising significant questions about the way Israelis – and everyone else – deal with dark chapters in history.
